Mike Has a House for Rent

Welcome to Grand Rapids!! We are young professionals who love to host and travel. This is our primary residence but our home still offers as much privacy as you would like. We are centrally located, walking distance from breweries and restaurants, close to the airport and a short ride from downtown. We have off-street parking and a cute backyard that you can, quite literally, hang out in. We’d love to give you recommendations to explore Beer City USA and help you fall in love with our city! *The space We love our sun-shiny cozy home and we hope you will too! We have a fully stocked kitchen, dining area and living room with 53" 4K SmartTV for you to enjoy. Our large sycamore tree in the backyard is a great place to hang out on our two chair hammock swings. We want you to have a wonderful time and are here to help make sure that happens! The coffee will be stocked and you will have a spot in the fridge to store the beer you pick up on your brewery tours! *Guest access Our main floor is all shared space (other than the two bedrooms with queen size beds) however guests have full private access to our finished basement that has a full bathroom, living space and laundry. *Interaction with guests We’d love to greet you upon arrival if we are around but other than that we will let you take the lead on how much interaction you would like from us! We love getting out and enjoying our city with our friends, but will be available to help give recommendations or share a cup of tea as the night is winding down. We are working professionals so work during the day. *About Us I (Mike) grew up in Grand Rapids and my wife, Rebecca, grew up in Alaska loves the outdoors.We have traveled to so many incredible places but a few of the highlights are Rwanda, Jamaica, India, Ecuador and the Eastern coast of Italy. Meeting new people from different cultures while exploring the less-traveled corners of new places have left me with an insatiable travel bug. I approach each person I meet with kindness and curiosity, knowing that everyone has a story to tell. My favorite author is Brene Brown, if you haven't checked out her Ted Talk on Vulnerability you are missing out! I love cooking good food but know that the people around the table are the most important part of any meal. I hope we get a chance to meet and we can swap travel stories!
