Accomadation The house is a mid terrace Victorian three story town house in a quiet residential area. The rooms are at the top of the house on the third floor, not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Facilities include chest of drawers / Wardrobe, TV/DVD, Mirror, Desk, chair, Lamp, towel stand and laundry basket. I am retired and I am at home during the day, I live alone. Please note remote working from home/studying bookings are not accepted. Monday to Friday bookings accepted. Accommodation is a single room/double room in my home please note not self catering, The Guests may prepare light meals only, use microwave to heat up food/ready meals, use of toaster & kettle. Complementary tea & coffee. Directions From Gatwick Train to East Croydon (change) Train to Norwood Junction (change) Train to Gipsy Hill Turn left out of station, walk down Gipsy Hill Turn left at the end of the road (The Paxton) in front of you Walk along road until you come to Kingswood School road is opposite the school on the right. Alternatively taxi/Uber. From Heathrow Take tube - Piccadilly Line to Green Park. Take Victoria Line to Brixton. Outside tube take No 3 bus to Crystal Palace. Get off at Gipsy Hill Stop. Cross over the road keep right on Gipsy Road keep walking turn right into road opposite Kingswood School. Getting Around You can plan your journey around London online at Transport for London (TFL) or on Citymapper App. An Oyster card or travel card can be purchased from tube/train stations or newsagents. Gipsy Hill is well situated in Zone 3 with excellent transport links to the centre 30-45 mins. The nearest station is Gipsy Hill (5 mins walk) with links to London Bridge, Victoria, Norwood Junction and Clapham Junction. The nearest tube is Brixton on the Northern Line by number 3 bus. No 3 bus goes direct to Brixton, Whitehorse Parade/Trafalgar Square. Night bus N3 operates from 00.43 am to 6.09am. Herne Hill Station 5/10 mins by bus (3) trains from Herne Hill go direct to Blackfriars, city Thames, Farringdon, London St Pancras. Gipsy Hill and the surrounding areas Herne Hill/ West Norwood/West Dulwich/Crystal Palace offer a variety of restaurants,cafe's, sports centres,vintage shops/markets, parks, libraries, cinema and amenities.
