Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. We are nestled in a quiet neighbourhood with lots of green space. Still close to everything you need. Like a cottage in the city. The friendly owners live upstairs and can be helpful or hands off as you prefer. We also tend a small Urban Herb Farm on the property (www.wbnbotanicals.com). The outside spaces are delightful and we encourage our guests to enjoy this space also. Your 2 bedroom basement suite is a quiet and spacious resting place. Uncluttered while including all the comforts. The bedrooms are quaint with a queen bed in the Nook and a double bed in the Hideaway. All cotton linens and towels are provided. The queen bed has an organic cotton and wool 4" topper to provide a soft place for you to land on top of a well supported mattress. It also excels at regulating temperature, so will help you have an excellent night's sleep. In the kitchen, we have a counter top convection oven, a portable induction element, microwave and good size fridge. There is a Santevia water filtration system. Most kitchen amenities you would need are available. The kitchen floor can be heated in the cooler months. We have kept the living room without a TV intentionally to encourage peacefulness and relaxation. There is high speed wifi of course for you to use your own device. You have access to the entire self contained 2 bedroom basement suite- complete with kitchen, bathroom (walk in shower), living room/dining room, and office. There is an additional workspace in the living room. Full access to the garden and outdoor spaces- there are plenty of times that it is not busy in the garden. Laundry is shared in the basement right next to your suite (all supplies provided) Parking on the driveway is available. There are also two buses within 2-5 min walk that will take you toward Main or Broadview subway stations. We are 20-25 min from city centre by public transit. Upstairs we are a family of three, both mom and dad are working from home also, our 13 yr old daughter and friendly cat. A Few House Rules: No overnight guests are allowed. Please be a little quieter by 10pm. No eating in bedrooms. Absolutely no smoking/vaping anywhere in or around the house. Please no strong smells such as perfume, cologne, aerosol sprays and scented candles. We are available to answer any questions and direct you to whatever you are looking for. We especially love to show people around the local food scene with farmers markets and good food shops. Our garden is a functioning Herb Farm and has many choices for you to pick your own tea or sprinkles to your meals.
