Connect with Nat!

Greetings and salutations, Friends! My name is Nat (They/he/fae/she)! I'm a nonbinary neurodivergent queer person, 28, and currently working as a full-time server at a retirement community. I'm new to the Seattle area and found myself in a house and in need of roommates! Hoping to bring in one to two more people to join the house and build a cool little group. As a roommate, I try to keep communal spaces clean but lived in. I don't usually have overnight guests but when I do I communicate with roomies and discuss beforehand. I enjoy hosting game nights and hangouts with friends when we're all available and I would love someone who might want to join in the fun. I don't usually make much noise; occasionally playing music or watching the TV but I'm definitely conscious of quiet hours. I usually eat at work so I don't cook very often unless I'm off. I'd love to discuss a chore list/rotation with the house once we get established! In my free time I enjoy: ∆ Watching TV ∆ Playing board games ∆ Crafting ∆ Reading ∆ LARPing ∆ Hanging out with my ESA, Madaline. Little Miss Madaline is my 4 yo long hair ESA kitty. She is a little skittish around new folks but once she warms up is super sweet. I keep her litterbox, water, and food in my room though I allow her free reign of the house. She is an indoor-only cat. About the space: ✓ Located in West Seattle (More specifically North Del Ridge area) ✓ 3 bedrooms, 1 full bath ✓ In house Laundry ✓ Garage with extra storage ✓ Wood burning fireplace ✓ Hardwood vinyl floors ✓ Outdoor space with garden beds, trees, and a hammock. ✓ Right down the road from South Seattle College ✓ Hiking trail less than a block away The rooms: Bedroom A- $935/mo +utilities 11'x9' and furthest west of the house. It has two windows (one on the south wall and another on the west wall), and the second largest closet in the house. This room is closest to the main road and shares a wall with the living room, so it might be a little noiser than the other room. Bedroom B- $930/mo + utilities 8x10 middle room. It's sandwiched between the bathroom and Bedroom A. It has a south facing window, however there is a privacy bush the pretty much covers the window completely. So it's also a little darker, which may be a pro or con depending on the person. It's the perfect size for an office or guest room, as it has the tiniest closet and is technically the smallest bedroom in the house. I'd be willing/interested in talking about making Bedroom B into an additional communal space or house guest room if there is interest. • Price of rent and utilities, parking fees etc: Rent for the whole house is $2800 before utilities. Unfortunately, there are no utilities covered by rent and we are responsible for covering them. Landlord estimates somewhere between $300-400/month depending on people in the house and use. (It has not run that much since I've been here but it's only been myself in the house ATM so it's running lower). We have to pay for electric, water, sewer, trash, and propane (roughly $900 every 6 months). • Wheelchair Accessibility: Unfortunately, the house has about three steps to get up to the entrance and no kind of ramp access at the moment. Inside, it is a ranch style and pretty roomy so wheelchair access may be possible. • Drug and alcohol use: The house is smoke free per the lease agreement, though I'm a frequent 420 user and often smoke/vape outside. I don't drink all that often and don't usually keep liquor in the house. • Steps and stairs in the house: There are three steps getting into the house (both at the front door and the side/garage door). There aren't any stairs once you get into the house. • Amount of light: There are three huge windows in the main living area (2 in the living room and 1 in the dining) allowing plenty of natural lighting when we have the curtains open. Both bedrooms get decent lighting as both have south facing windows and bedroom A has a West facing window as well. • Scents or scent free: I will occasionally burn incense in the living area or a candle in the bathroom but aside from that I don't like using aerosol sprays or strong perfumes at all. I would also be more than happy to avoid scents in public/common areas if that is something that needs to be accommodated. • Proximity to public transportation: Across the street from the 125 and a 20 minute ride to downtown Seattle. • Are couples considered for the room available: Potentially! I have roomed with couples in the past and would be willing to room with a couple if energies were the right match. • Pets and service animals: Pets are not allowed unfortunately, however there is currently one ESA feline in the house. • Noise level of house: Usually quiet to moderate. There's a tv in the living room and I'll occasionally play music and sing as well. If you think this might be a good fit, please feel free to reach out and connect!! I'd love to hear about you and what you're looking for as a roommate. If you have any questions, I'd love to answer them.
