Lydia Needs an Apartment

My name is Lydia, and I am a forty-two year old trans woman looking for female roommate(s) who value communication and who thrive on community. I am a classical flutist, educated with a Master's Degree in Music, and I currently teach Elementary Music in South Austin. My budget is up to fourteen hundred and fifty (possibly more ) for my end and I would like to contribute to our home by purchasing some large items like nice new furniture, washer dryer, and working on decor together to create a nice comfortable and homey environment; the kind of home we can look forward to returning to at the end of the day. I value communication, openness, honesty and a desire to become friends over time. I have fond memories of past roommates and I want that kind of familiar living space again. I realize we will be strangers at first so maybe we chat first and find out if we click. For me, it is valuable to have a positive friendly vibe with roommates so that I come out of my shell a bit to at least put on a smile and say hello or chat from time to time. Plus, it would be good to live with someone who I can feel comfortable sharing common spaces and watching television together from time to time. I am willing and interested in the lion's share of rent if you'd like to save money. Though my budget is high and could go higher, I am also open to more affordable places. I was thinking a Duplex so I could possibly get a doggy some day but that's just a thought. Not a deal breaker. I am open to roommates. Also, an apartment rental or house are possibilities too.
