My name is Kelsey and I'm looking for a female roommate in her mid-20s to mid-30s to take the second bedroom in my beautiful 2 bed/2 bath apartment in East Village (Wicker Park/West Town area). LGBTQ+ inclusive! Rent for your room would be $1,450/month plus utilities, and the new lease starts August 1st. About the apartment: - Queen-sized bedroom (about 10’ x 12’) - Good-sized closet (about 4’ W x 2’ D with two shelves that are about 1.5’ and 2.5’ tall) - Private full bathroom with bathtub - In-unit washer/dryer - Central air conditioning/heat - Large private balcony - Shared rooftop deck with GORGEOUS skyline views - TONS of natural light in the main space with partial skyline views! - Stainless steel appliances (with dishwasher & garbage disposal) - Modern finishes - 1-Year Lease - Quiet upstairs neighbors - Close to CTA (Blue Line, #9 Bus, & #66 bus are all roughly a 5-minute walk away) - Close to I-90 (~5-minute drive) - Close to I-290 (~7-minute drive) - Close to DePaul's Lincoln Park campus (~10 minutes driving or ~25 minutes on CTA) - Unfortunately not pet friendly unless it’s a caged/tank animal (i.e. guinea pig, turtle, hamster, etc.) A little about me: - I am 30 years old - Politically Liberal/Leftist - Event Planner & Opera Singer (so I will be singing at home sometimes!) - I keep common spaces super neat/clean & like to live with people who do the same - I love being social/friends with my roommates but also definitely value being able to have time to ourselves - I listen to emo & pop-punk like it's still 2007 and LOVE going to concerts and street fests. I am looking for a roommate with whom I share the same basic values and ideally someone I can be friends with, but the most important things to me are that we are respectful of each other's needs/boundaries/things, communicate openly, keep the place clean, and consistently pay rent in full & on time.
