Hello everyone! Our homestay is unique. All rooms are newly renovated, including kitchen and bathrooms. The house is located in a central area with lots of grocery shopping, restaurants and transit. The unique part of the home is - it is like your own place, as we live 15-20 minutes away yet visit weekly. We are attentive hosts and interact often. We have wonderful short/long term guests (we consider family). All rooms have new linen, towels, etc. We want you to be comfortable and happy. Hi there, I live in Pemberton Heights, North Vancouver, on the bus route. I have a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home. My youngest child just moved out so now I have a spare room. The 3rd bedroom is my office during the day but, after 4pm, is a lounge with a tv and pull out couch. The home is comfortable and clean and I have a dog and a cat, both of whom are very friendly. Prefer someone out-going, tidy and respectful. (I am all 3). Parking, laundry and lots of out-door toys (snowshoes, bikes etc) are all included.

I have also taught Intensive ESL at the Elementary level, and taught grade one in the Mandarin Bilingual Program as the English teacher. I spent many years teaching kindergarten and grade one. I presently have one Canadian student residing with me upstairs, who will be staying 3 more years and is doing Nuclear Medicine. This student is also a care-aid. I have two grown sons, and have 2 cats (Tux & Tigi). I have just learned how to play bridge and love it! I enjoying walk daily and am very much into health and fitness. I am a vegetarian. My home is only 5km from Douglas College and 12km from Simon Fraser University. I am 2.6km from Eagle Ridge Hospital and 4.8km from Coquitlam Center (for shopping). There are many lakes, parks and trails for the outdoor enthusiast and only 5 minutes away. There are ample coffee shops, great restaurants, Farmer's Markets, Hair & Nail Salons, local gyms, and more in the City of Port Moody. The bathroom is directly across the hall from the bedroom, with a large walk-in glass shower. The bathroom will be shared with only one other person. It is close to Westcot Elementary and Sentinel Secondary School. The 254 bus stop is just around the corner.
