There is a bedroom en-suite on the ground floor and private access. Close to Oxford with a regular bus service, available for short lets too.

Double room in my quirky period house (just me lives here) in a quiet friendly community. I eat a plant based diet but everyone is welcome. At the present time I only have availability on Friday and Saturday nights. For a few weeks in the summer I have longer-term accommodation available - usually the first weeks in May June and July. Please contact me for details. I find the Homestay calendar very hard to use so message me for up to date info. You are welcome to chill out here in the evening and cook your own food if you feel like it. I normally get in at 7pm on a Friday but I have a luggage drop-off facility and if you have a car you can park up whenever you want as long as you give me advance notice a couple of days beforehand. I'm far more flexible on Saturdays. Transport and location: 1.5 miles from the station, another half mile beyond that to the centre. There are good bus links to and from centre from the bottom of the street. I have a bad knee and it takes me 25 minutes to walk to the station. A taxi from the station costs £8-10 depending on time of day. If you are flying to the UK I recommend you get the bus from Heathrow to Oxford. It goes to the Gloucester Green bus station and it's just a few steps from there to the bus stop. There's no curfew. Once you have the key you are welcome to come and go as you please. Please be aware that my road is unpaved and you should take care on it as you would any country lane. Parking is outside my house. I will leave cones outside. Please just move them and park there rather than anywhere else (as long as your car will fit). Re food - breakfast consists of cereal, toast, PB, jams and fruit. Cheese for the non-vegans. Though Oxford is full of great places to eat we have limited options at the moment here in Botley. The pub at the bottom of the street serves standard (fairly ordinary but not expensive) pub food. There is an Indian restaurant half way between here and the station and a very good Chinese take-away close to it. During the day Waitrose has a nice little cafe. Linen, shampoo and soap included in the price and other basic toiletries if required. Please ask if you have forgotten something. Making guests feel comfortable and welcome is important to me so please always say if you don't like something or need something. I don't have pets but there are four cats next door so you may very well see them. Please be sure to say if you are allergic. The cats don't come in very often but I can try to make sure they stay away with warning. This is a fairly low allergen household. I'm allergic to fragrances and chemicals myself so I use Ecover washing powder (fragrance free), "Method" and "You" cleaning products and very limited use of air fresheners. I do use a couple of natural ones but please warn me if you are super sensitive and I can put these way. For years I had to carry my own sheets and pillows with me so I do understand the difficulty. Of course I can't guarantee you won't be sensitive to something but I do my best to minimise this.

We specialise in hosting international students who are visiting Oxford to study English but are also available to host those who are here to travel or work. Our house is extremely welcoming and has been recently refurbished to a 5* standard and we live in a lovely area that is extremely safe and close to Oxford with very good bus routes. We are able to offer evening meals at an additional cost if required.

We are married with 3 grown up children, 5 grandchildren and 2 Dachund dogs ( very very friendly) clean home and lovely room.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME! We have 2 fairly large, double bedrooms available with a shower room in the loft of our 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house. Amazing location in the village of Wheatley with restaurants, supermarkets, post office and a nearby gym. We are close to Oxford (with convenient bus stop just in front of the house with regular and direct transport to the city centre). We are Pete and Titilola - work from home, empty nesters, with a little dog called Bino. I am an interior designer and coach, Peter works for a charity. Our home is newly renovated, stylish, clean and very comfortable and we would be delighted to host your stay in Oxford. We can provide light breakfasts, dinner (5x weekdays) and laundry facilities. Our wifi is super fast and our house is warm. And so are we! We enjoy cooking, traveling and walking. We welcome the opportunity to meet new people.

We have been hosting for many years with lots of different nationalities. We really enjoy having guests to stay and meeting new people. My husband Eamon and I have a 19 year old daughter Grace who is off to University in the autumn. Eamon is very informative and likes to help our guests as much as possible . Hi, my home is in a great location for Oxford. I am very central to the city centre, a 15-minute walk away, and on the main bus route to London and the main airports. It's only 2 minutes to the bus stop. Oxford is a beautiful city with numerous things to do and see, including many colleges and museums. We also have two rivers where you can take a trip on a pleasure steamer or go punting, which is a lot of fun. London, Bath, Windsor and the Cotswolds are all in easy reach. We live opposite a large green park which is ideal for jogging, football and picnics. The park is also used for activities such as a Party in the park, fireworks display Music festival. We live near Cowley Road, which has nightclubs and many restaurants and pubs. It is very cosmopolitan in July, and they have a big carnival. I have hosted guests and students since 1991 and have enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and all walks of life, and I hope to for many more years to come. I have no pets, the house is quiet and ideal if you have studying to do. Our home is a 5 bedroom house located in a new development off Drayton Road with easy access to Milton Park, Didcot, Harwell and Oxford city centre. It is a walking distance from Abingdon town centre, with a nice pub nearby. This room is a large double bedroom with it's own shower room located on the second floor of the property.
