We love getting to know the students and their families and experiencing their culture. We have a very welcoming and casual home with lots of excitement. We are a single parent family so we are quite busy with two children a boy aged 9 and a girl aged 10. They love to be involved with the international students claiming them as their brother or sister to their friends. I love to chat with them about their life and family and enjoy assisting them in their important teenage years. We have an Alaskan malamute cross husky dog who is beautiful but needs to be walked daily. We love our sport. Our house is only one year old so everything is modern and new. There is always food in the fridge so I encourage everyone to assist with their breakfast and lunch as its easier when they know what they want. I cook the dinner every night. Once everything is cleaned up everyone is free to have their private time until bed. I like to encourage communication, healthy eating and keeping fit. From September will have the three rooms available. We are close to Mawson Lakes University and Modbury Hospital. And other great high schools in the area.

Hello, Our fairly new home is in Blackwood, a beautiful, safe area at the foot of the Adelaide hills, with the best of both worlds: perfectly located with quick, easy access to the city, but with a country town lifestyle and surroundings.... - a 1 minute walk to the train station, for a direct train in to the city, or via bus to nearby Flinders Uni - just 10km away from the CBD - just 800m from Australia's 2nd oldest national park in Belair, excellent for koala and kangaroo spotting Our home has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large open plan kitchen and living area, butlers pantry, and laundry (we're still finishing the last few things outside and inside the house, with a temporary but very functions version of the kitchen in place currently). It has ducted reverse cycle airconditioning, plus we have a wood fire when it's cold. There's a large 4k smart TV in the living area with Netflix, a Wii games console, as well as unlimited high speed wifi internet. Our large property is surrounded by trees, so we've been visited by many koalas this year, as well as hundreds of different birds and Australian wildlife. We have many local cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets all within a short walk, and Adelaide largest shopping centre is nearby at Marion. Universities: Blackwood is closest to Flinders Uni, although the train makes it easiest to get to Adelaide Uni and Uni SA in the city. If you're able to drive a car, Magill Uni is 20-25mins away. We love to travel, meet new people and are involved in our local community. We are currently fostering a very lovable dog Ruby, but don't have any other pets or children, and are both non-smokers. The guest bedroom is furnished, has a queen size bed, desk, built in robes and sunset views through the trees. Bills are included in the price. If you'd also like lunch or dinner included, this can be arranged at an extra cost. We eat a very lush low carb/keto lifetyle, so can even accomodate that if you like. We live on the Le Fevre Peninsula located at the edge of Adelaide city between ocean and river in a quiet street ten minutes walk from the beach and scenic bike path along the foreshore to Largs Bay and delightful Semaphore beach as well as to Outer Harbour where cruise ships visit. We are a five minute walk to a bus stop for buses to Port Adelaide museums and shopping at West Lakes Mall. We are a ten minute walk to a shopping precinct with supermarket, post office and pharmacy etc. We are a ten minute walk to the Midlunga train station (see Google Maps) for trains to Adelaide city (40 minutes). My Filipina wife loves cooking & baking so you can enjoy some of her tasty treats. We have a nice garden which is a delightful spot to enjoy BBQ . I have been an international traveller and have visited most countries in the world and am therefore familiar with most people's cultures and history in addition to my other interests of geology, photography, videography, ships and trains. I have my own large HO scale train layout in my house and am a member of a train club in an old colonial train station next to the cruise ship port close to my house. The bedroom large enough for a queen size bed, desk and chair, they have built-in wardrobes and 75 inch TV with Netflix . We only accept one guest student or traveller, worker, NO COUPLE. It is centrally located between Beach/Glenelg and the city of Adelaide, just a few steps to the bus and tram. Xiao Ping is a cook and I am a therapist. A healthy lifestyle, nutrition and nature are important to us. At the rear of the house is a large undercover alfresco area with an outdoor kitchen, spa and sauna and a large grassed north facing rear yard where you can enjoy the afternoon sun. I have 2 bathrooms, 1 is an ensuite off of my bedroom that I use. The 2nd main bathroom is shared between the 3 bedrooms and has a large shower, bath tub, 2 hand basins and a separate toilet room. There is 3 rooms available, 2 have double beds with a large built-in wardrobe, desk, chair, storage shelves and a study lamp. We have a large fully furnished bedroom with a double bed for you to call home, it is big enough for you to have a study area and you would have easy access to the bathroom which you will share with our other two students 19 and 22. You are welcome to come and go as you please and are welcome to spend as much time with our family as you like. We have a heated pool you are welcome to use.
