Lotus Pod House was established early 2018 in a lovely Victorian house in Aldershot. Work circumstances led to a move to Woking in March 2021, where I set up in an early 1900's cottage-type town house, which at present I am gradually re-decorating and designing to become as quirky and nice a place as our still much missed home in Aldershot was. We love our new home though, and hope you will love it too.  Big plans for the downstairs living and kitchen area will have to wait till Summer 2022, and even though the DIY never seems to end, by August 2021 we finally reached a state where we were able to recommence activities.  Our home is very much a family house that is lived in, and not a showcase, but you will find all the amenities you need within clean facilities. I aim to provide guests a 'home away from home'. For stays under 1 week I will provide a simple (semi-continental) breakfast including coffee & tea during your stay. My place is close to Woking train station and bus stops and ideal for short contract workers in The Woking, Farnborough and Guildford area.You will have access to living room, kitchen and bathroom and are invited to make the place your own. I want you to feel comfortable during your stay and feel at home, as this is essentially a family house. It also means that you will leave the place in a clean and tidy state as you would do at home. You're free to use the kitchen to your hearts content, but please only use wooden/silicone spoons for the non-stick pots and pans.Before you decide to request a booking, Please take note of the house rules section. Other things to note;This is a strictly non-smoking property which includes the garden and front-of-house!Please note that there is a friendly cat in the property named Suki.Please be aware my 2 young children spend on average 2 days per week with me, mostly the weekends. I generally try to avoid booking guests on those weekends, but there may be exceptions. I will always try to let you know in advance about this but can't foresee last minute events.Finally, I have no TV and therefore no TV license, but if you have a TV license elsewhere in the UK than this will allow you to make use of BBC iPlayer etc.

I require 3 days' notice of any stay. I am a mature professional single woman with a great sense of humour. I live alone apart from my small adorable King Charles Cavalier dog, Valentino. I work from home and have an office at the top of the house. The guest room is a large, sunny space with a double bed, desk, chair, bookcase and very large wardrobe with hanging space and shelves. The room is in a house is situate in a private close and has a front courtyard and back garden. It is very secure. We are right next door to beautiful Victoria Park in Hackney in a gorgeous, buzzy locality. Lots going on and lots to do. Within easy reach of all parts of London and extremely good public transport system The room is for single ADULT occupancy only AND I prefer guests who are out of the house at work or college etc during the day and who are self-sufficient, independent, can take care of themselves and ideally who have a social life or interests they wish to pursue and who are not in their rooms all the time. It is a room let only. I also usually need at least 3 days notice of a guest's arrival, particularly if it is a stay of some length I dont mind guests using the kitchen at pre-agreed times. I am also happy to cook and have dinner with guests once a week or fortnight depending on if we get on socially and on workload and other commitments. I speak French and German as well as English which is my mother tongue. I love music, film and books

The inside is fresh and clean - kingsize bed with a firm mattress and comfortable bedding, - table and 2 armchairs, - toiletries, - towels, - hair dryer, - microwave, - electric kettle, - tea, coffee, sugar and snacks, - cups, plates and cutlery, - mini fridge, - electric blanket (heating blanket), - steamer for ironing clothes, - hangers If you need anything else or need guidance, please call or text me.
