We have a fully furnished basement bedroom available for short or long-term rental in our spacious single-family all house located on Woodroffe North and Richmond Road. The room comes equipped with all the essentials you need, including a comfortable queen bed, bedding, shelving, desks, chair, lamp, heater, and clothing shelves in the closet. You'll also have access to unlimited internet, netflix, tv, a private bathroom and plenty of additional storage space throughout the basement. Our central location provides easy access to public transportation, with bus stops for routes 87 and 11 nearby. You can reach downtown by bus in just 15 minutes, and the grocery store is a quick 10-minute walk from our doorstep. During the summer, enjoy the Ottawa River and nearby bike paths or Westboro restaurants. Parking is available for your convenience.

The house is located near a Marina and long trails for your walk. It's walking distance to the Place d'Orleans Plaza and the bus station OC Transpo for your trip to downtown which is at 15 mns from the house. You can either choise to have your room with a private bathroom or shared the bathroom upstairs with the owner. If you are someone who is quiet, nature lover and clean, you will enjoy your stay here !!

Happy to provide other furnishings as needed such as additional bookshelves, bedding, towels, etc. The room is 11'x12' and has a closet. The bathroom has a glass shower (no tub), modern finish and extra cabinets for storage. Parking is available in the driveway, there's a large yard, garden, patio. We also have two friendly cats. The house is in the suburbs with a short walk to grocery store and coffee shop, bus stop, restaurants and medical centre. There's a lovely forest off the neighborhood to enjoy walks along the Rideau River, as well a pathway leading to Mooney's bay beach. It's a 12-minute drive to downtown. I work in high tech with a science organization and am a solo parent with three boys, aged 5, 8 and 15. The kids are friendly, active and busy, they make some noise but are used to having housemates and are respectful of privacy and space. We love nature and the environment, gardening, cycling, playing soccer, hockey and swimming. Looking for a non-smoking, working professional or serious student. I've hosted for over 25 years and am open to short or long term arrangements. Some have stayed a month or two, others for 6 years! Before my kids were born, I travelled to over 50 countries, curious to learn about different cultures and was ever appreciative of warm welcomes, kind gestures and being made to feel at home.
