Our family lives in a quiet, leafy suburb on a peninsular 9km from the centre of Sydney. Our home is a large 6 bedroom house with a pool and table tennis table. We have 3 children all in their 30's - and all are now living away from home. My husband usually works in New Zealand coming back to Sydney every few weeks. We often have other travellers staying so you can expect to meet some interesting people if you stay here. We are originally from New Zealand but now love the climate and way of life in Australia, especially Sydney. The area where we live is very safe and is conveniently accessed by a bus service. The bus takes 30 mins to the city centre. There is also a ferry service with a limited timetable that serves our peninsular. The ferry wharf is an easy 5-10 min stroll away. It is a wonderful way to travel into the city and only takes 20 mins. You can use your Opal card or credit card on the ferry. Our street is wide with little traffic. If you come by your own car parking is not a problem. If you are arriving at the airport I can pick you up from Crows Nest Metro station if the timing suits me.

Como is about a 20min train trip to the Centre of Sydney, 20 mins to Cronulla Beach & National Park, 30 min drive to South Coast Beaches, Horse Riding, Panaramic views etc. I am more than happy to spend time showing guests around the city and being available to drive around country side for a little extra to cover petrol & expenses. I’m renting out my daughter’s room for 6 months while she’s on university exchange overseas. My cozy home is perched on the cliff between Gordon's Bay and Clovelly beaches, just a short walk to both beaches and two lovely cafes, the Clovelly Hotel, and Foodworks. Parking is available on the street, though it can be a bit tricky in the evenings. There’s also parking at the Clovelly Surf Club nearby. The bus stop to the city for work or university is only 2 minutes down the hill. The bedroom features a large floor-to-ceiling wardrobe spanning the whole wall, a giant chest of drawers, and a shoe rack, offering plenty of space and storage. The apartment is split across two levels: the main floor includes the shared kitchen, bathroom, and your bedroom, plus an open-plan living room that’s all yours. I live upstairs, so you’ll have plenty of privacy. This is an older-style block with a friendly, quiet community, and it has a shared garden and laundry. The apartment offers beautiful ocean views and lots of natural light, especially in the morning when the kitchen is bathed in sunshine. The apartment is on the top floor. Other things to note: No dishwasher, great water pressure, fly screens are installed throughout. Rent is $600 per week, inclusive of Wi-Fi, electricity, and gas. The lease is from approximately January 20th to the middle of August 2025. A one-week rent security deposit is required, with rent payable in advance. I'm a quiet working professional female. I am up early and keep the house clean and tidy. I am looking for a quiet professional or student who will respect the space and find joy in the simplicity and tranquility of my home and beach life.

My husband and I live in a charming cottage-style home with three cosy bedrooms, which we’ve thoughtfully built over the years to suit our lifestyle and create a space where we truly feel comfortable. We have a cat we absolutely adore. He’s more like a dog, following us everywhere and responding whenever we call him. His playful and affectionate nature adds so much warmth to our home. We love spending time outdoors, especially in our garden and backyard. Our spacious front yard features a peaceful gazebo, the perfect spot for relaxing. In the backyard, the classic Hamptons design, complete with a refreshing swimming pool, offers a serene oasis that makes us feel like we're on a constant holiday. We’re passionate about food, and delicious meals always bring us joy. We often spend time cooking our favourite dishes and enjoy discovering new places and flavours. We also love car camping—it’s an exciting challenge, waking up in new spots each morning, meeting different people, and experiencing fresh surroundings.

The moment you step into our home, you’ll feel both welcome and at ease. Downstairs offers a spacious, sun-drenched open-plan living area that flows out to a leafy backyard—perfect for relaxing or enjoying the fresh air. Upstairs, there are four generously sized bedrooms with warm timber floors. Your room is bright, cozy, and inviting, complete with its own private balcony—ideal for morning coffee or quiet reading. Our home is fully equipped with modern comforts, including a stylish gas kitchen and ducted air conditioning throughout. Located in a fantastic suburb, it’s the perfect blend of convenience and calm. I’m a full-time teacher, and my school-aged son and I enjoy peaceful weekday evenings filled with family dinners, study time, and moments to unwind. Weekends are about family, friends, and enjoying life’s little joys. If you're looking for a peaceful, friendly space to relax, work from home, or study, you’ll feel right at home here.

Hi, I'm a working mum who lives in a house in Sydney. Although my children have grown up and moved out they live close by and are always popping in to say hi. I have been hosting people since 2000 and love meeting all nationalities. I have hosted people from all ages. We live near a train station so you can travel anywhere. Shops, cafe's, parks and the ocean are walking distance away. I am very friendly, down to earth, easy going and enjoy life. I like to eat healthy and try to keep fit by jogging / walking. Your room is furnished with a double bed, a built in wardrobe, desk, all bedding, blankets, TV, heater, towels, etc. My house may not be up to date or modern but it is very comfortable. There is no curfew, come and go as you please. I work long hours and am hardly home. I don't have time to cook so breakfast is included and you are welcome to make it for yourself. If you want me to supply you food for lunches and dinner, that is an extra charge, otherwise I can take you to the supermarket so you can buy your own food which you are welcome to cook in my kitchen. I also supply a laundry with washing detergents provided for you to use. You are welcome to come and stay anytime but please remember that I am not your slave. I like to keep a clean and tidy house and I do expect the same in return. If you are a smoker, all I ask is to please respect my wishes and smoke outside of the house only. I am a very outgoing and friendly person and I look forward to meeting you. :) :) All ages welcome!!! If you are interested in my room, could you please tell me a little about yourself in your email to me. Thank you :) If you are interested in staying more than 30 nights, feel free to email me to negotiate. Look forward to hearing from you.
