Hello! My family and I have been hosting international students since 2022, and love the community and friendships we have made so far. We are a family of four (mom, dad and two young daughters), who love hosting barbecues, playing in the backyard and learning about different cultures. We are Filipino but have lived in Canada our whole lives, so while we understand Tagalog our first language is English. We currently have two female home stay students from Korea who have been with us for a year. We are located in the Burnaby area - less than a minute walk to the bus stop or 15 minute walk to the skytrain. Downtown Vancouver is about a 20 minute skytrain ride away. We have a library, community center with public pool, grocery shopping complex, many restaurants, banks and shops all within 5-10 min. walking distance. We have a room available on Dec 1, 2023. Roxy & I are 'empty-nesters,' both working full time. The homestay room has a separate entrance with a skylight. Our beautiful kitchen is shared by the two of us and our homestay guest. There is a lot of space in both the front and backyards.

Our family lives in a two level house, 6 yrs. old house with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We are only husband and wife and our renter living in this house. We have two sons but are grown up and will come only for visits ocassionally. We have two kitchen, one is called spicy kitchen. We have two dining areas, a living room and a family room. We have a backyard with a vegetable garden and some fruit trees We can have barbecue parties in the summer time. Our house is located in a very quiet cul de sac area and just 5 minutes walk to the bus station and to the Mall, secondary school and the church. We don't have any pets.
