we live in a five bedroomed house in cairns queensland..with a seperate self contained guesthouse with a pool and gardens..we are approx 7 mins from cairns city and 15 mins from palm cove and other beaches.wi fi is avaialble in the main house and we also have a full size snooker table and a video library..we live in a beautiful location with stunning views and it rarely gets cold in this beautful place..and of course we cannot forget the great barrier reef and all our wildlife parks

Our spacious timber pole home is very private and tranquil, nestled in 2 acres of tropical rainforest. We enjoy wonderful views over Smithfield and the ocean, which are particularly stunning in the morning. We are within walking distance of the JCU campus, a short (5 min) drive from Smithfield Shopping Centre and many cafes / restaurants, and within ten minutes of local beaches including Trinity Beach and Yorkeys Knob. The house itself was designed by local architect Chris Van Dyke and won home of the year in 1996. The tree trunks and open plan give the house has a unique tree-house feel. We are surrounded by various species of birds and butterflies. It's the perfect space for relaxing, reading or studying. My husband and I live on the upper floor of the house and we have an 11-year old dog, Lola, who keeps to herself and spends most of her days lying in the sun. Shared spaces include a spacious and well-equipped kitchen and the adjoining dining area and living room/lounge, which opens out onto the large balcony. We also have an office space downstairs that will be available for you to use. The two rooms are both shown in the photos. The bathroom and toilet is shared between the two rooms, If only one of the rooms is occupied, then you have the bathroom to yourself. The bathroom has been recently renovated and includes a shower and large bath tub. There is a grassy area in the back garden with a Pergola.
