Had a pretty rough go of the last few years, temporarily an individual urban Outdoorsman paramedic/professional pilot out of work and on a medical leave from a doctoral program trying to get back on my feet, would appreciate some help and a chance to get some stability to allow for a gentle reintroduction to the the workforce and academia. Clean, quiet, done a lot of work on myself (it's a work in progress), I also cook and get along very well with other neurospicy individuals who vibe with cautious and reserved mutual coexistence and random outbursts of info dumping, occasionally seeing one another out of the corner of an eye, and respect. Must be able to tolerate (or at least roll eyes) at dry/esoteric humor.

Our unique architectural house is located in the nicest subdivision in Gatineau-Hull. We have big garden just one street away from the Gatineau Provincial Park and with bike paths leading to the center of the city. There is a bus stop 5 min away. Our subdivision is quiet, but well equipped with stores of all kinds. We love hosting university students! University of Ottawa and Ottawa center is 35-45min by direct bus connection. The Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) is less then 30min by direct bus or 20 min by bike. My husband and I work from home, so we have time for our guests. I am professional artist and book illustrator. We love skiing, hiking, art, outdoors, cooking, watching movies, gardening and music. We LOVE and do a lot of sports. Cross-country skiing is my favorite. We have access to ski and bike trails starting right across the street. In winter it can be as cold as -30C early in the morning and in summer as hot as +35C in the afternoon! Nearest downhill ski center is 15 min away by car. ADDITIONAL INFO 1) Bathroom is semi-private, shared with one guest (if we have another guest). 2) We offer discount for guests staying longer than 4 months. Rebate (50$) starts on the fifth month and is applied every month for the rest of your stay. 3) We have mandatory meal plan (all you can eat - 14$/day). I love healthy homemade cooking and baking. Mostly we eat dinner altogether. For other meals; you can eat with us or take food from our fridge, anytime you are hungry. 4) Please keep in mind that we require our guests to submit us a copy of their ID (before check-in) by email, which will be provided once the booking is confirmed online. We are a family of four. My two children go to high school. I work in education and my husband is an author. Our house is 3 stores and very practically furnished. Guests have access to a private washroom, a living room and a bedroom. An extra bed is present in the fully furnished open concept basement for extra guests. The house is 2 min away from the bus station and to the Tangers shopping mall and 25 min by bus to Downtown Ottawa and Parliament. People come from Toronto and Quebec to Tangers as it provides brand names for cheaper prices. The garden is tranquil and conducive; adults do enjoy reading outside and being in nature. Guests with children have several opportunities to keep their children amused by taking them to the park which is across the street. The area is very safe and people are friendly and helpful. As a family, we enjoy gardening, listening to music, and cooking new meals. We travel, enjoy swimming, kayaking and cycling. We speak three languages which facilitates communication with a wider range of guests and we always take good care of our guests.
