Welcome to our Serenity Stays! Our family enjoys traveling and hosting international students. We have 4 adult children, 3 that live in San Diego and 1 that lives in Arizona. We also have 6 grandchildren that live 3 blocks away. Shawn is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Nicole is a Registered Nurse and both of us work from home. We love interacting with our homestay guests. If you are here to learn English, great! We watch TV with subtitles. Please join us. Our 5-bedroom 3-bath spacious home was recently remodeled, so all the flooring is new, the kitchen is upgraded, the back patio has a fire pit and covered area. Our dining room table seats 8 and we love to host special events. Our family loves to play games, celebrate special events and be the gathering place for the family. We provide light breakfast foods, and you are responsible for your own lunch, dinner, and snacks. Nicole makes delicious banana bread and chocolate chips cookies to share. We have an extra refrigerator in the garage that you will share with other homestay guests, and our kitchen is always available for you to cook for yourself (or for us - LOL). We have a lovely backyard garden patio where we eat meals and relax when the weather is warm. We also have garden box and Nicole is always looking for a gardening buddy. You will find our home quiet and peaceful, yet full of energy with friends and family who like to visit. There is a gym just 2 miles away that costs about $25 per month - Crunch Gym - plus a popular running path near our house and multiple Golf Courses. The public bus is a 10-minute walk, and the bus takes you to the trolley and into Downtown San Diego (center city), Old Towne, Mission Valley, East County, and now La Jolla. There is a reason San Diego is called America's Finest City, and showing off this fine city is something we do with our homestay guests. Hiking is one of our favorite things to do in and around San Diego. You can join us anytime for a hike or a walk around our beautiful safe neighborhood. We have 3 small dogs (Yorkies), but do not accept any homestay guests with pets, even though we know they are part of your family. Please reach out and ask us any questions you may have about our homestay, our family, or our fine city. We have completed a background check and have a "clear status" from the Government Watch List search, the DOJ search, and the CA-San Diego County criminal search. We get many requests to stay in our home. If you book a few months in advance, we might ask you for a $300 non-refundable deposit to hold the room. When you show up for your scheduled homestay, we take that amount off of your rent. It would be our joy and delight to have you stay with us. I am very easy going and laid back. I enjoy cooking and am always willing to share... Open to all communication and believe that anything can be worked out with some communication. I kinda do my own thing but do hang out with neighbors and friends. Hopefully my roommate is also sociable... This is a 1600 ft two bedroom two bathroom unit with a large living and dining room area an eat-in kitchen and very large patio... The unit has a washer and dryer inside and plenty of private complex or street parking but no assigned spot... . Your room will have a queen size bed a dresser a full closet with sliding mirror doors and a bedside table. A 55 inch TV in your bedroom which has YouTube TV and an international box to watch all channels or old movies. You will have full use of the shareable space in the apartment and the 75 inch television in the living room. The rent will include all utilities... There's a common room penthouse area that has a large patio overlooking downtown the airport and point Loma area... It also has a game room area with a pool table / ping pong... and a 24-hour fitness center... There is plenty of private complex or street parking but no assigned spot...

My day to day activities consist of work m-f and I normally go to the gym after. In Saturday's I typically have my 6 year old son over and we spend time together. About us: Myself (28, female) and soon to be 5 year old son and I live here with our 2 cats and are easy to get along with. I'm a full time working professional, Monday thru Friday 9-5pm as the billing specialist for an insurance company, and my son is starting kindergarten in July. I mainly work remote, but occasionally go into the office when needed. We're really down to earth and my son will probably want to be your best friend! On the weekends we occasionally like to have friends or family over to watch the UFC or do korean bbq nights, which we'd love for you to join! I love to cook and try new recipies, read books, and run around exploring san diego with my kiddo. Our kitchen is full of appliances that we are happy to share. I'm looking for someone like minded that is easygoing and can communicate well, and is also a working professional. The lease can be month to month, but if we get along, we'd REALLY prefer someone long term! The room is NON furnished, has just been painted and the carpets professionally cleaned. I do have a mini fridge available in case youd prefer to keep your food separate. There is a nice front yard that we love to hang out in, as well as a back patio area that I'm planning on renovating to be a fun space to hang out as well. There's plenty of street parking available all over. We have The rent is 1,400 for a single person with utilities included (electric, water, garbage, wifi) and a 500 dollar deposit. I'm looking for a new roommate for move-in April/early May to take over an open room in my two-bedroom apartment. It's located in North Park, walking distance to both Balboa Park, University St and 30th, and plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops. It's a really chill area, lots to do, and bike friendly. University Heights and Hillcrest are also right around the corner. The room is unfurnished with a sliding glass door closet (I included pictures of what my last roommate did with the room). The bathroom, kitchen, and living room are shared spaces. There's also a small outdoor storage space for bikes and whatnot. A little about me... I'm 35, female, and work as an environmental scientist. I love anything outdoors, hiking, biking, yoga, camping, road trips, etc. When I'm in San Diego I spend a lot of time in the water (swimming, surfing, SUP, etc). I do tend to take a lot of trips, both for work and for fun. I also like going out around town, but definitely like chill time at the house too. I'm totally cool with gatherings and guests, but not looking to host any raging parties or anything. Just looking for somebody respectful of shared spaces and people in general. Must be 420 friendly. No homophobes, no racists, no Trump supporters. No room for hate or negativity here. My wife passed away in april 2021. I've been seeking employment but I haven't been successful at finding A full time job. Had a friend of mine who worked with me at Walmart that became my roommate for a year and a 1/2, but when they closed Walmart, he moved to Las Vegas. The place where I live is a mobile home park called Rancho Mesa, it's a gated community for senior citizens, and there are some amenities to staying here. I could sell, but with my limited income, life would be difficult. I would rather share my home with a pleasant retired or semi-retired man or woman.

We live in a very quiet neighborhood, close to all, in the jewel of the Hills, the La Jolla of east county. House has 360 degree view of all of San Diego and at the top of the La Mesa Highlands. It has a rural flavor and there are coyotes that live in and around the surrounding area to add to the rural flavor of the quaint neighborhood.
