Older working male seeking a dependable, proactive, and hands-on female (not allergic to cats) to live in my house and help turn it into a home and maintain an organized, comfortable, and well-run household.This arrangement is intended for someone who enjoys taking initiative, solving problems, organizing a home, and making everyday life run more smoothly. I am looking for a person who does not simply wait to be told what to do, but who notices what needs attention, offers ideas, and follows through.
The Living Arrangement
The position includes a private, unfurnished bedroom in an owner-occupied upper unit of a duplex, with shared use of the kitchen, bathroom, dining room, and common areas. Utilities and internet are included. Free laundry in basement.
-The estimated value of the housing benefit is approximately $750 per month.
Hours and Schedule
- Approximately 30 hours of assistance per month, or one hour per day on average compensable at $25/hr.
- Assistance needed daily, primarily in the evenings after I return from work, generally around 5 p.m. or later.
- A mutually agreed-upon schedule that provides predictability and respects both people's personal time.
Responsibilities
Depending on the person's skills and our agreed priorities, responsibilities may include:
Helping manage household projects from planning through completion.
Suggesting interior design and improvements, identifying problems before they become bigger issues, and proposing practical solutions.
Keeping shared living spaces tidy, clean, and organized.
Cooking meals a few days /week, maintaining kitchen order, and washing dishes
Organized routine household cleanup as a team.
Organizing household supplies, identifying things that need attention, and establishing practical routines.
Assisting with routine cat care on occasion.

Compensation and Expectations
The proposed starting cash wage credit at $22.50 per hour for 38 hours per month, negotiable based on experience and the responsibilities involved. The private bedroom, utilities, and internet are provided as an additional housing benefit.
The arrangement will include a written understanding of duties, working hours, compensation, privacy, time off, and household expectations.
