Hi, I'm Marya, 30 from Manchester. I lived in Brighton for 4 years from 2018-2022 working as a sales executive and conference producer, as well as other random jobs. In 2022, I took off to Peru, Mexico and finally South Africa to study Voice Movement Therapy. I love Brighton and i'm moving back to settle here and start practicing this holistic therapy. I studied psychology at University and i'm interested in self-work and therapeutics (hence my career in therapy). I'm big on being active! I dance salsa, forro, kizomba, afrobeats, bellydance and more in Brighton. I love to sing, improv and play music. I also play basketball, tennis, swim etc. Sitting by a fire and reading a book or playing an instrument is also a love of mine. I appreciate non-toxic living, limiting the amount of chemicals in the house but i won't force it on anyone. I try to live a healthy life, from diet, to being active and also in mental well-being. I'm well travelled and cultured and i believe in mutual respect. I hope to live with people who are clean, tidy and clutter-free, who respect each others space and communicate their needs. I am leaving supported housing for a mental health illness, I do also have a sleep disorder that has nearly been solved with magnesium it's still early days. I have insomnia. In September 2025 I'm taking up performing arts at ict theatre in brighton. I'm about to do an online course in mental health first aid in the workplace. And child psychology, and men's mental health. I love cooking with people for the whole house. I do have a mood disorder this is never taken out on anyone but I do sometimes get upset so I need sensory toys and a scream pillow. I'm not perfect but I am very lovely.
