Hello! Our home is in a quiet residential area, just a 10-minute walk to Lancaster Castle and Lancaster Rail Station, with a bus stop 2 minutes away for Bus 4 offering direct links to Lancaster University and Royal Lancaster Infirmary. Ideal for quiet study or remote work, with: • Dedicated desk/workspace • Excellent secure Wi-Fi • Guaranteed quiet hours • Off-street parking • Secure garage storage for a bicycle We are both professionals (one recently retired from a medical career, the other in education). We enjoy meeting new people and welcoming respectful guests from all backgrounds. We rent out one spare bedroom with a shared bathroom. The room has a European double bed (1.4m x 2m) for single occupancy, plus a wardrobe and plenty of storage. A separate reading room with a Juliette balcony is also available to guests. The kitchen is fully equipped, and guests have one dedicated fridge shelf and one cabinet shelf for dry goods. Non-smoking home. Rent includes bills. We’re happy to host short stays or longer stays for the right person — especially mature students, visiting professionals, contract workers, or anyone exploring a move to Lancaster. If possible, we prefer guests to view the room in person, and we will always share a draft private lodging agreement in advance so everything is clear.
