We have chooks & a bee hive. Gorgeous outdoor kitchen including wood fired pizza oven so we regularly have pizza nights. 200Hz Tv in living room great for sport. Gym equipment set up in garage. Filtered rain water services the house so we shower in rain water. Recently added ceiling fans to all rooms of the house. New quality curtains installed throughout. Unlimited nbn, Netflix & Stan. I'm working on a big veggie patch & fruit trees to try to live more sustainably & to cut down on food bills. House on half an acre, in a gorgeous estate fantastic for going for walks. Short distance to Laratinga Wetland. Monitored video cameras for extra security. House is very quiet. Hardly anyone home. Additional fees may apply if extra cleaning is required. Our guest room is on the ground floor and includes a queen size bed, TV, and a desk and chair. It has lots of natural light and its own door to our back yard. The bathroom is on the other side of the lounge from the bedroom and will mostly be available for your private use. It does contain our washer/dryer, so we may need to use this, but we have our own bathroom upstairs. The guest room doesn't have its own air con, but there is a split system (cooling + heating) in the lounge which is directly next to the bedroom. We love to meet people from around the world. The reason we host homestay guests is to learn about a variety of cultures and to share our blend of Australian and American cultures with others. We've lived in Melbourne, Sydney, the NSW Central Coast, and now the Adelaide Hills. This is a lovely area with so much to do: the town of Mount Barker is very walkable and everything is within 5-15 minutes walk. Adelaide is only 30 minutes away by car or the bus takes 45-60 minutes and runs very frequently. In the hills, there are plenty of hikes, wineries, distilleries, cafes and bakeries, lovely small towns, and it's only 45 minutes to a number of beaches. Our house has 4-bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open floor plan living, dining and kitchen area. We provide all linens and towels. There is also shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap in the bathroom. We have high speed WiFi. If you'd like to do laundry, just let us know and we can help you use the washer/dryer. If you need anything during your stay, don't hesitate to ask us. You're welcome to make yourself at home in our house. Please note that this is a vegan household though, so if you want to bring/eat food in the house, no animal products are allowed. Although the listing says that use of the kitchen is not included, we're happy to let you do some basic things like make tea, use the microwave, borrow plates/cutlery (again, only for vegan food). If you're unsure about anything, just ask. We're happy to provide a light vegan breakfast for you (included in cost of stay). If you are interested in other meals, please discuss with us in advance (additional charge will apply).

You can use the kitchen as long as you clean up afterwards. I will try to provide some meals but the food here you can help yourself too. The bedroom is a large room with a double bed. The bathroom is shared. You get a key so you can come and go as you please.

Situated in the middle of a blue chip suburb, we are 9 minutes to the CBD, or 12 minutes from the beach (by train ). Close to everything. We are a family of 3 adults, 1 dog and 1 cat. Our guest room is upstairs, with an adjoining powder room, that would be shared with 1 person. The guest room is for single guests only, with a king single bed, small bar fridge, huge wardrobe, air-conditioning and tv. Downstairs is a private guest bathroom, complete with a claw foot tub for soaking. We have a large open plan kitchen/dining/family room. We also have a library and small second loungeroom, which would be available if you wanted some privacy. We have travelled extensively, and enjoying meeting people from different places, and learning about their lives. A big part of our lives, is restoring and improving our home, so we usually always have some small project going on. This is currently 98% in our backyard, so would be of no inconvenience to any of our guests.

I live in Morphett Vale, south of the city but a very short walk to either States Rd or Main South Rd to catch buses anywhere. I love to hang out with my friends, go away in my caravan when I can, gardening and op-shopping. We love getting to know the students and their families and experiencing their culture. We have a very welcoming and casual home with lots of excitement. We are a single parent family so we are quite busy with two children a boy aged 9 and a girl aged 10. They love to be involved with the international students claiming them as their brother or sister to their friends. I love to chat with them about their life and family and enjoy assisting them in their important teenage years. We have an Alaskan malamute cross husky dog who is beautiful but needs to be walked daily. We love our sport. Our house is only one year old so everything is modern and new. There is always food in the fridge so I encourage everyone to assist with their breakfast and lunch as its easier when they know what they want. I cook the dinner every night. Once everything is cleaned up everyone is free to have their private time until bed. I like to encourage communication, healthy eating and keeping fit. From September will have the three rooms available. We are close to Mawson Lakes University and Modbury Hospital. And other great high schools in the area.

Hello, Our fairly new home is in Blackwood, a beautiful, safe area at the foot of the Adelaide hills, with the best of both worlds: perfectly located with quick, easy access to the city, but with a country town lifestyle and surroundings.... - a 1 minute walk to the train station, for a direct train in to the city, or via bus to nearby Flinders Uni - just 10km away from the CBD - just 800m from Australia's 2nd oldest national park in Belair, excellent for koala and kangaroo spotting Our home has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large open plan kitchen and living area, butlers pantry, and laundry (we're still finishing the last few things outside and inside the house, with a temporary but very functions version of the kitchen in place currently). It has ducted reverse cycle airconditioning, plus we have a wood fire when it's cold. There's a large 4k smart TV in the living area with Netflix, a Wii games console, as well as unlimited high speed wifi internet. Our large property is surrounded by trees, so we've been visited by many koalas this year, as well as hundreds of different birds and Australian wildlife. We have many local cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets all within a short walk, and Adelaide largest shopping centre is nearby at Marion. Universities: Blackwood is closest to Flinders Uni, although the train makes it easiest to get to Adelaide Uni and Uni SA in the city. If you're able to drive a car, Magill Uni is 20-25mins away. We love to travel, meet new people and are involved in our local community. We are currently fostering a very lovable dog Ruby, but don't have any other pets or children, and are both non-smokers. The guest bedroom is furnished, has a queen size bed, desk, built in robes and sunset views through the trees. Bills are included in the price. If you'd also like lunch or dinner included, this can be arranged at an extra cost. We eat a very lush low carb/keto lifetyle, so can even accomodate that if you like. My Filipina wife loves cooking & baking so you can enjoy some of her tasty treats. We have a nice garden which is a delightful spot to enjoy BBQ . I have been an international traveller and have visited most countries in the world and am therefore familiar with most people's cultures and history in addition to my other interests of geology, photography, videography, ships and trains. I have my own large HO scale train layout in my house and am a member of a train club in an old colonial train station next to the cruise ship port close to my house. Hi! Bert, German/Australian, and Xiao Ping, Chinese/Australian, offer rooms for international students. We have a total of three rooms available for visitors. We built our large house six years ago. It's centrally located between Beach/Glenelg and the city of Adelaide, just steps from the bus and tram. Xiao Ping is a cook, and I'm a therapist. A healthy lifestyle, nutrition, and nature are important to us. The price of $400 per week includes all costs plus breakfast and dinner Monday through Friday, and three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) on Saturday and Sunday. A four-week bond is payable upon arrival!
