Friendly walking & cycling bloke
Located in Sheffield, United Kingdom
I live in a two bed detached stone house that is a 115 yrs old and has a lot of character. The house used to be part of the next door cemetery(!) which is no longer in use. So it is now a pleasant large green space to walk in with a lot of local historical interest and has views into and across Sheffield (it's hilly here). Its a 10 minute walk to local shops and a 25 min walk to Sheffield city centre. Buses to and from the city stop outside the house every 15
minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes at weekends.
The house has a kitchen, living room, dining room, utility room, bathroom, a spare (south-facing) bedroom (with wi-fi), a bathroom, and a master bedroom with en-suite shower etc. There is a walled garden (with car parking space) and a quiet patio outside the back door where one can sit and watch the wild birds that now occupy the cemetery. I know how to fix bikes and can offer advice and help with cycling in Sheffield and in the UK. I used to lead a monthly cycle ride in Sheffield called Sheffield FridayNightRide (www.sfnr.org.uk) and can advise on local places to visit and eat and drink. I also know some walking routes around Sheffield and in the UK
Its a multicultural neighbourhood just to the north of Sheffield and I really like it here. Sheffield has great pubs (with music), good theatre of all kinds and a lively general culture. Its close to the Peak District and a train ride from Manchester, Leeds, York, Nottingham, Liverpool with lots to do in Yorkshire - which I can advise you about too!
I am happy to cook and share meals with guests and I am happy for guests to cook and share meals with me.
I am mostly vegetarian & teetotal, and a non-smoker. I do have bottle openers and corkscrews.
