Sue is a former university lecturer who enjoys music and the arts, history, reading, photography, socialising, gardening, theatre and opera. She speaks English and French. Her husband Louis is a lawyer, with similar interests.
Previously, Sue welcomed many guests to her larger home in London but now lives in the very pretty town of Lewes, a historic market town just 7 miles from Brighton and the Sussex Coast, and just over an hour by train from London. The house, near Lewes's famous Castle, is a few minutes' walk from Lewes station – giving easy access to the University of Sussex, the University of Brighton and Plumpton Agricultural College. A local bus will take you to Glyndebourne Opera House, nearby.
