Christian Needs an Apartment

BASICS: I am really into anime, video games, writing, and running. I am pretty independent and quiet; I am usually working on something, so I am not so much of a "fun" roommate as I am a peaceful one. ROOMMATE PREFERENCES: I am open to living with just about anyone. Guys and girls are fine; I've never been in a relationship and am married to my work/hobbies, so you have little to worry about on either end. I do ask that my roommate not be attending any local universities if possible; I will be teaching locally. While I am all for making friends and am quite friendly, I would prefer a roommate who likes to be independent. I am a teacher and run a small business, so I really value my time. I will feel guilty if you want more from me than I dish out. I will probably be home a lot, but will likely stick to my room; it is just how I am. KITCHEN & CLEANING: I like to keep things clean and uncluttered, though I am fine to someone who may differ in that regard so long as the kitchen is generally clean. In an ideal world, we both just get one side of the sink to ourselves. I should also note that I prefer washing dishes by hand; I only mention this because I know it uses a bit more water. I am also an early riser who likes to make breakfast at 4 or 5 AM sometimes; if you are a light sleeper or don't like weird food smells, I would likely be a bad choice for you. ADDITONAL EXPENSES: My previous roommate constantly wanted us to go in together on furniture, exotic cleaners, etc. I'd prefer not having any additional expenses if I do not have to, as I don't make a lot of money and am dependable because I save it all -- just a warning if you are trying to get onto MTV Cribs. Of course, if we need a new vacuum cleaner or something, that's fine, but let's go cheap since we may only live together a short time. GUESTS: I would prefer a roommate who does not have a lot of guests over. I just find it awkward if a new girlfriend or boyfriend is dropping by each week. Of course, it is your space too, but I would rather someone who does not bring drama or untrustworthy people over. Friends, long-term-non-crazy partners, etc. are fine. Ideally, if anyone stays the night, they sleep in your room. YES, THAT IS A LOT: I know I probably sound crazy and rigid, but I just wanted to include an idea of what I value, especially based on past experiences with roommates.
