Open Source Software at iROOMit Roommate Finder & Rooms for Rent
iROOMit App & Website are proudly built using open source technologies. We develop using open source software (OSS) such as React, React Native, MongoDB, Node.js and Next.js to bring you the best roommate finder & rooms for rent search experience possible!
Operating Systems
We also use various open source Linux-based operating systems to host our infrastructure such as Debian, openSUSE and Ubuntu.
Tools
We use various open source tools such as Sentry, GitLab and Matomo to monitor iROOMit platform and continue making improvements, so we can bring you the best experience possible.
Our Projects
iROOMit also contributes to open source software. We believe that giving back to the community and contributing to open source software plays a vital role in what we are able to accomplish!
- Page Interaction Listener: execute JavaScript/TypeScript code only after the user has interacted with the browser.
- React Native In-App Notification: show a drop-down notification that imitates a push notification inside of an active React Native app.
- React Date Range: Fork and TypeScript rewrite of the popular (now unmaintained) react-date-range package from hypeserver.
