Marijke Has a House for Rent

Just relocated to Bendigo in March. We are Marijke and Ben. I am a health practitioner who works online from home as well as in clinic, and Ben is FIFO (fly in fly out on fortnightly rotation) from WA. I prefer guests to not be at the house during work hours. We have both lived internationally, travel/work in Asia a few times a year, and are interstate a fair bit. We love to host when at home, as some of our loveliest travel experiences have happened when we have stayed with locals ourselves. We have a parrot named Rosie who will sing and chatter to you. She is free flighted but out of respect will be contained for your visit or outside in the garden and will not get in your way. She does love people, especially bearded ones, but I ask you to please not poke fingers in her cage. It's her private space and she doesn't know you. We also have a recent rescue called Doris, and she will never be near you as she is adjusting to her new life and environment, and has anxiety. I am happy to cook an evening meal for you by arrangement for a small fee, and can easily cater to food intolerances (In NZ I used to own/run a vegetarian cafe). We look forward to welcoming you to our home. Our only request is that you treat it as one. Smoking is not allowed on the property.
