Rakai Has a House for Rent

Waikino is about 1.1/2 hrs from Auckland. An easy drive south passing through dairy and agricultural land and charming small NZ towns. Waikino was built to service the gold mines but is now a sleepy little village in the bush. Our house sleeps 8 and there is a double bed for 2 more in a warm cabin outside. There are two sofa beds on the mezzanine floor for large families. We are north facing, so get the sun all day, and overlook a great lawn and garden where you can relax at home and play games. There is a barbecue and seating on the deck. Our home is more suited to a family on holiday who wants to be close-ish to the city but wants to experience the beauty of NZ scenery and small towns. The tariff is for the whole house rather than each room.
