Malak is Looking for a House to Rent

Hi ! My name is Malak. I’m 20, an international student getting ready to study History and Political Science at the University of Ottawa starting Fall 2025. I’m originally from abroad, and I’ve built my life around balance: I’m clean, responsible, and calm, but I also love art, movement, and meaningful conversations ! I’m the kind of roommate who’s easy to live with. I keep my space tidy, respect boundaries, and value honest, chill communication. I’m open-minded and laid-back ; I don’t mind living with people who drink, smoke, or enjoy having friends over on weekends, as long as everyone’s respectful. Outside of school, I’m an artist at heart. I’ve been dancing ballet and contemporary for 15 years, and I’m currently writing a book. I speak four languages ( English, French, Arabic, and Spanish ) and I love cooking, especially baking pastries (which I happily share). I also do a lot of volunteer work, especially with children and social causes ; I love being involved in my community. Music is a big part of who I am ; my vibe is somewhere between house beats and old-school jazz & blues ! I’m also a total film nerd (I studied cinema before and even participated in the Marrakech International Film Festival)! I’m into everything from suspense and drama to horror and political thrillers, and I have a real passion for international cinema, from the classics to modern releases. You’ll find me just as happy rewatching a Hitchcock film as I am discovering something new from A24. During the week, I’m usually out at school or work, so I’m pretty low-key at home. Nights and weekends are my recharge time, whether that means sharing a cozy meal, deep chats, or just doing my own thing in a calm, respectful space. I’m hoping to live with kind, chill, open-minded people who want to share a good vibe, mutual respect, and maybe a few cookies here and there !
