I am young IT professional from the Czech Republic, heart of Europe. I will be moving to the US in November 2025 to start living my American Dream as a winner of Diversity Visa lottery. I love travelling and experiencing new places. I have already lived abroad for several years in Belgium, Norway, Poland and in China and now I will he happy to find a place to call home in the US. I am quite a calm, peace-minding person, who keeps to himself, no large partying and such (after having several years work as 24/7 shift technician support, it got quite out of me). I have recently earned my bachelor's degree in the International Relations field and I'll might look for continuing of my academic journey in the US for doing master's, however this might take quite time once I settle in the US. My professional background is being an IT specialist, with mainframe middleware technology experience. I have been working in this field for 5 years in the Czech Republic, I had a privilege to work in the IBM Corporation in the past and now I continue working in the Czech branch of US based Kyndryl Holdings company as mainframe middleware specialist. However, as I will be moving out of the Czech Republic, I will need some time in the US to land new employment. As part of my immigration process, I will be (hopefully) granted permanent residence status through a green card, allowing me to access US banking services, establish credit and start working in the country. However, the administrative processing can take a few months after my arrival to the US, therefore I won't be able to present neither green card nor US credit or bank account upon the arrival to the US. I am currently seeking short-term accommodation that would enable me to settle in the US, enabling me to complete necessary paperwork, find a job and maybe join a college to build on my educational experiences by pursuing higher degree of study. As I won't have all documents ready when arriving to the US (Green card, social security number, US bank account nor US credit score), I am prepared to pay upfront for a few months of rent to prove my ability to satisfy my rent obligations.

Wifi, full kitchen, laundry etc. This is a non smoking house and most people here do not drink or party. Pretty Zen place. We also prefer people do not cook meat and fish as it really smells up the house. Anything else is perfect.

I live by myself and enjoy cooking. I'm usually in my room if I am not cooking or cleaning. The house is quiet for you to study in your room and is a bright specious room with closet. You will love it here as my home is conveniently centered between Uptown Boulevard and Tillicum Mall, so if you don't have a car, you will be very close to banks, bus stops, galloping goose trail, resturants, and shopping malls.

Welcome! We have been hosting international guests for years. Queen size IKEA futon downstairs (cozy basement) with downstairs entrance so you can come and go with independence. There is an also a desk, dresser, carpet with laminate. There is just myself and a homestay female downstairs-my daughters are both away at university. You have your own space in the fridge in the kitchen, wifi, use of laundry, and we have 2 other homestay females downstairs (using downstairs kitchen and bath). Note: several appliances (including hotplate) but no stove. This is a quiet and safe neighbourhood truly almost downtown- a half hour walk or bus is a 3-minute walk away and goes directly downtown in 10 minutes. We have a really nice dog who will love you. 1 block to bike trail, cafe, bakery and grocery is a 10 minute walk. Both of my daughters left at the age of 17- so I understand the parent and student experience. A few words and clarity regarding payments and cancellations- Please understand that we respectfully request the following payment schedules: For one month or longer stays: full payment is required in advance or at the time of booking ( if less than one month in advance), and is accepted by etransfer or PayPal. Thank you. Cancellation It is our desire to serve those who need and want to stay with us, in a fair way. Also please understand that we largely complete these bookings on a monthly basis and those stays most often begin on the first of the month. For this reason if you need to cancel a booking we understand and can offer a refund for a cancellation which we receive a minimum of 1 month before a scheduled stay. This allows for others who wish to stay the opportunity to plan to do so. In this case, we will offer a full refund less an 15% administrative fee based on one month’s rent.
