I attended NVCC for 2 years and I focused in accounting. Then I went to Gemological Institute of America in New York as well as Columbia School of Gemology specializing in precious diamonds and colored gems identifications and appraisals. Then my father opened our first jewelry store in Clarendon, VA . We expanded and opened two other stores in downtown Washington, DC. We sold and closed the DC stores around 1995. Then due to my parents health we closed the remaining flagship store in Arlington to convalesce as well as retire in Miami, Florida. Both my parents passed over a decade ago in Miami. I moved back to Virginia to be close to my daughter, my sister and cousins.
