My husband and I already host International students through the University of Winnipeg, but we have students sometimes but not always so we thought we could try another source to have students more often. We have 3 little Chihuahuas and its just my husband and I. We are very home body people ,not party people we stay at home a lot, mostly quiet. We have 2 open bedrooms and a student bathroom. Breakfast food supplied, we will supply three meals but full asking price of $40.00 a day is required,if just breakfast it can be negotiated.We are bout a 15 minute ride to The University of Winnipeg, and a 5 minute bus ride to a Major shopping mall and theatre. We are located in an area called St.James.We are in a very nice part of Winnipeg and close to many great things including our Park and Zoo.

I live in five bed rooms house, located north end, Tyndale Park and meadows west area.Garden City a big shopping Center is 20 Minutes by Bus Only 5 minutes walk to the bus stop. Quite and safe neighbor hood. -I provide an English- speaking environment. - Provide a separate bedroom for the guest which includes a comfortable bed ( linens, a pillow, and blankets), a closet, a dresser, a desk, a lamp, a mirror, towels and all other necessities. The guest will be welcomed to use of the household, such as have access to high speed internet, living room, etc - Provide suitable laundry facilities,( washer, dryer, detergent) and cleaning supplies for the guest to keep their own bedroom clean( vacuum, duster,etc) - Orient the guest to Winnipeg and to the host family's neighborhood. Familiarize the guest with bus routes to downtown, The University of Winnipeg, Red River Campus, Library, Garden City Shopping Mall, Restaurants, Health food stores, Churches, Etc. - Assist the guest to set up a bank account. - help the guest to feel at home in the home. - Will assist the guest's adjustment to Canada and encourage them to learn about Canada and encourage the student to learn about Canadian culture, lifestyle, and family life. - I had been traveling in many countries and had enjoyed different culture and different way of cooking. Now looking forward to meet some different people from different countries again and learn something new from them. - The guest will be picked up at the Winnipeg Airport, or train Station and arrange for transportation upon their departure.

Our family lives in a 5 bedroom house in the suburb of Winnipeg, Canada with our 3 children ages 11, 7 and 3. Their names are Monica, Lance and Maia. We love the outdoors, we go sliding down hill, skating and love to go indoor swimming . In the summer we love to go camping outdoors, play tennis, swimming, badminton and play ball with the children. Our neighborhood is very friendly, they welcome us here the first day we moved in.

I pay bills on time and clean up after myself. I am a quiet working person that loves to laugh and take my little dog for nice weather walks. He loves to snuggle. We are both house trained lol. Really he is house trained and I take very good responsibility of cleaning up his area outside. He is trained once used to the area, to go in one location. I do most everything with him if he’s allowed to go with me. We love the outdoors. We respect people and their property and expect the same. We both enjoy a community of people and animals around. We also appreciate our alone time. I like to cook with a glass of wine while watching Netflix or listening to podcasts. If there’s a dishwasher that’s best for me. I’ll clean up after myself. I pitch in to help as a team.
