My area is close to access to public transportation to the downtown, also only 10 minutes far from Richard Montgomery High School and Montgomery College. I am an empty nester living in a townhouse in Olney, Md. I have a spare bedroom to rent. You have access to your own bathroom.

We only accept long-term stays by the month. No short-term stays. You can book for 32 nights, and then discuss additional months or years if needed at the end of the first month. We follow safety rules and guidelines from the U.S. Center for Disease Control in regards to protecting our home from the Coronavirus.You must be fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus to stay in the house and show proof of your vaccinations. In the house and outside of the house, we wear masks, practice social distancing, wash our hands, use sanitizer and limit people who enter the house to only the people who are staying at the house. Only one person, or two if it is your roommate booked to stay in the house, is allowed to cook in the kitchen or be in the TV/Library room at the same time. Everyone must wear a mask in all public areas of the house. Your acceptance to be a guest in the house and to continue to stay at the house depend on your acceptance and understanding that Coronavirus is very contagious, easily contracted and that you must follow all safety rules of the house and be responsible by being vaccinated with the latest COVID vaccine within two months of your arrival and wearing your mask in the house if required. Please answer the following questions, and please note that if your booking request is accepted; your moving into the house is your acceptance of the agreement that the owner of the house will not be held liable if you contract the Coronavirus during your stay or after. Please also note that anyone who does not follow the health safety rules will be asked to leave the house without a refund. How long have you been in the US? Have you been fully vaccinated against COVID 19 with vaccines accepted by the US? You must show proof of your vaccinations. What were the dates of your vaccinations and what type of vaccine? Have you had or have any symptoms of Covid-19? Have you been in contact with anyone with symptoms of Covid-19? Are you willing to abide by my rules, both inside the house and outside of the house with regards to staying safe and to help prevent contracting the Coronavirus and bringing it to and spreading it in the house? More than 600 professionals and international students have stayed here and still call Mom's House their U.S. home. We have several furnished rooms in our beautiful-lakefront house in Bowie near Washington, DC. We live in the house and guests lovingly call me Mom. I am a broadcast journalist/writer and university professor who teaches Communications/Media Studies and English to non-native speakers. I have been hosting in my home since 2009. Bus stop to metro to Washington, D.C is near the house. Churches, new public library, malls, soccer fields, restaurants and Six Flags Amusement Park are near the house. The house is also just a short drive to Annapolis. People fish in the lake across from the house in summer. Jog, ride your bicycle and simply enjoy the beauty of the changing seasons. Enjoy the hospitality and just like home atmosphere at Mom's House. You must pay the cost of your first month's stay immediately after booking. After booking, we will discuss options for your first month’s payment via PayPal or Venmo. Please also provide a photo Identification, a passport or U.S. driver's license upon your arrival. Only the person or persons on the booking will be allowed to enter the house. We do not provide meals or transportation. Parking is available on the street in front of the house. No alcohol, no drugs, no smoking, no vaping, no cigars, no hookah and no weapons or violence of any kind are allowed in the house or on the property. Cigarette smoking is allowed outside in a designated area. We treat everyone with respect and kindness. We respect quiet times and avoid loud noise and music that would disturb other guests.

ABOUT THE AREA: This is a great place for those who really want more convenience, & places to visit during a short Mid-Term stay. There's a nearby large grocery store, a new multiplex movie theater, an art museum, popular restaurants, coffee shops, & 2 Metro Stations (on the red line), just blocks away. ABOUT THIS ROOM: This room is situated separately from all other parts of this house located on the upper level. It also comes with an additional small kitchenette like including a mini-frig., a coffee maker, a microwave, & a table with 2 chairs. Access to the bathroom (shower only), is also located on the upper level which is available to guests as well. LAUNDRY Laundry services (including machine washables only), are available for a Fee through service provider sources at $10.00 per load, & is subject to change. IMPORTANT NOTICES There is also another room on the upper level which is under construction until further notice. However, if it isn't being rented or still under construction during your booking period, the bathroom is exclusively for your use until further notice. Also, keep in mind that this location is non-smoking at all times (inside & out), because children live next door. And, there’s another unit on the lower level which is currently in use as well. Depending on how long you are booking, a refundable damage/security deposit of $300.00 to $950.00 (US Dollars), will be due upon arrival. If you stay for a short period, the refundable damage deposit amount will be smaller. But, if you stay for a longer period the refundable damage deposit amount will be higher.

We are fun Asian-American couple. we have accommodations for few people and students. Our house has 5 bedrooms . We only use one bedroom so there are 4 bedrooms available. we live in Rockville, Maryland with easy access to bus next to our house only 30 seconds walk. Subway is 10 min bus ride away. Rides to places you need to go and/or daily commute ride could be arranged for additional cost. I'm in the Carver/Langston neighborhood, on the streetcar line/X2/X9 along H Street to Union Station, or <15-20 minute walk down 19th Street to Stadium-Armory. Private spaces for rent: Bedroom, adjoining office (both get morning sun/eastern exposure), plus full bath with tub, skylight, and original wooden barn door on the second floor. Three rooms, plus full bath (shower), in the finished portion of the basement. Parking pad in the rear alley (no-permit street parking is also plentiful). Common spaces: Living room, large kitchen with dishwasher, garbage disposal, center island, and plentiful cabinet space as well as a free-standing hutch/pantry unit, dining room, back deck, and yards front and back (with a bayscaped pollinator garden, fruit trees, raised bed for veggies, rain barrel, and fire pit!). Storage space in the unfinished (rear) portion of the basement, and washer/dryer.
