Hi, we are a family of 4, my husband and two boys (ages 16 and 8). We grew up in mulicutural environment and enjoy being surrounded by people of all ethnicities. We are of Haitian origin and speak both French and Creole. Our house is located in Valley Stream Long Island, which is in a quiet suburb of New York. We have a very comfortable guest bedroom located in our finished basement for use. There is a seperate side entrance to the basement so he/she can come in and out of the house at their leisure. We also have a newly renovated backyard deck for those nice, warm, sunny days. We are approximately 30 minutes from Manhattan (by train) which is centrally located within walking distance. Our sons recently became very interested in helping me host, as our friend recently had an exchange student for a year and explained what a valuable experience this was for her and her family. I am hoping that this person could have a nice stay at our home and share their culture with us.

About the room Moving date is flexiable, but contract has to be signed by February I aim to make our apartment a safe and quiet home that both of us feel comfortable to live in. What I love about this apartment is that we have large space that sometimes I just like walking here and there, which is not very common in NYC, I like to think and walk at the same time, I also like lying on sofas that are unscratchable. We have a view since we are on a sixth floor, sometimes if I’m confused with my life, I like to look down at the street and thinking.
