Over the years, my previous housemates have often jokingly referred to me as their “Agony Aunt” because I am usually the person they come to when they need someone to talk to, a second opinion, or a bit of advice, whether work or personal. 😂 I am always happy to listen and offer my two cents, although whether you actually take my advice is entirely up to you 🤭
I am also a team player when it comes to the household. I believe that if we are sharing a home, we should all take some responsibility for keeping it clean, tidy and enjoyable, I am not looking to become anyone's mother, cleaner or personal housekeeping department 😂
I am considerate of other people's privacy and understand that sometimes you want to chat and socialize, while other times you just want to close the door, put your feet up, and have some peace and quiet.
I enjoy cooking, films, travelling, going out, discovering new places and trying different cuisines. I am always happy to share a meal, have a chat over a coffee or get involved in something social when the opportunity comes up.
I am also someone who likes to help create a positive atmosphere at home. Good communication, mutual respect, a sense of humour and a willingness to give a helping hand go a long way.
Ultimately, I would like my housemate to feel welcome, comfortable, respected and genuinely at home, while also understanding that a happy house share works both ways.
